Not a boat, not a plane: a Seaplane

On November 28th 2008 we’ll visit the horizontal falls in Broome. After looking for some helicopter, aerial, hovercraft or just good old 4WD tours we found a pretty unique one. We’ll fly with a Seaplane to the Horizontal Waterfalls. They call it the horizontal falls because of the strong current.

Here’s the description:

Board the newest air-conditioned Turbo Prop Jet Seaplane in the Kimberley

Fly direct from Broome to the Horizontal Waterfalls.

Experience spectacular Seaplane landing on the pristine waters of Talbot Bay.

Transfer to our FAST BOAT “JET-A1”, sit back and relax while our experienced skipper takes you through the Falls and enjoy a scenic tour through the spectacular and majestic surrounding bays

Lunch on board our custom built air-conditioned Houseboat, with unique 360 degree viewing platform.

Fly at 200m on return to Broome and view the Islands of the Buccaneer Archipelago. Fly over Cape Leveque, passing by Lombadina, Beagle Bay and, Willie Creek Pearl Farm.

Read more information on the website

After a few e-mails we managed to book the tour!
We’ll try to post some photos/video by then :)
