Cold November Rain

Sure, we arrived October 31st, but the next morning it was still raining, so the title still fits the post. Ah yes, Helsinki, an uninteresting city, somewhat comparible to Amstelveen in The Netherlands. Maybe it was due to the fact it was dark pretty much the whole time during our visit, maybe it was the cold wind and rain, or maybe it was the insane German lady that we shared a cab with; Helsinki just didn’t make a great impression on us. The hotel (GLO Hotel) was nice though and the service was excellent. We had a great night sleep, but were happy to leave for Moscow.

Oh and Joop: We don’t know who you visited everytime you were in Helsinki, but we didn’t see a Sanoma building anywhere :)

You proberly did not visit the right places, the center is an example of modern architecture and the old city is beautiful with nice restaurants. Both are ~half an hour walk from the hotel you were in.
