Russian Police are friendly and helpful, except for the fact that they aren’t. I would even go as far as to say that they flat out hate people. Taking in account that tourists aren’t even considered human to begin with, you might want to stay (far) away from them. We were doing a great job avoiding the police ourselves, untill Yvo decided to take some pictures of the beautiful subway station of Маяковская (Mayakovskaya). Unfortunately some police punk decided Yvo was shooting a video and promptly took him into custody. After some confusion it became clear Yvo wasn’t going anywhere soon and after two more policemen arrived, Yvo was escorted towards the exit of the station. None of the policemen spoke English of course, so it was unclear what was up next. Near the station’s exit, Yvo was taken into a small office where he was told ‘Photo Da, Video Njet’. After what looked like a very intense game of charades, they finally accepted that no video was shot and Yvo was again a free man. Fun times…

oeps. that sounds like fun, I told you that you should behave and stay away from the Police……..and that after all the effords of raising him decently. Good luck for the rest of your trip, and STAY AWAY FROM THE POLICE please.
Just one thing to say: rofl LOL
When you were finally let go, please tell me you atleast asked them for a picture to remember the moment by ;).
